He is the first CM under whose leadership BJP has won in Uttar Pradesh. This will be the first time after the year 2003 that an MLA will become the Chief Minister in Uttar Pradesh. Yogi Adityanath was also not an MLA when he became the Chief Minister in the year 2017.
