 "Shocking! Teacher beats student mercilessly with wooden duster at Kanpur school, fractures wrist")
Representational Image Kanpur: A teacher in Kanpur has been sacked for mercilessly hitting a student with a wooden duster in the classroom, resulting in a fracture in his hand.
The incident took place in Stepping Stones School in the city. The teacher was reportedly angry with the student for chatting with his classmates during the class hour.
Accused Nidhi, who teaches Moral Science at the school, hit the student repeatedly with a wooden duster. At one point of time, the student even pleaded her to stop hitting him and mentioned that his hand was already weak.
However, his request infuriated the teacher further. She showed no mercy and kept hitting the student on his hand with the duster that resulted in a fracture in his right wrist.
Later, the student, with a help of a school guard, called his parents and informed them about his injury after which his father made a complaint against the teacher to the school principal.
As per a report, when the student's parents approached the principal, the teacher did not admit to beating the student at first place. The parents then made a police complaint following which the CCTV footage of the school was checked.
The accused later admitted to beating the student.
It was also found that the teacher used to beat the students frequently during her class.
The school administration removed the teacher immediately from the post.
