Post a successive loss against Chile in Copa America final, Messi sent the football cognoscenti in a state of shocking by announcing retirement from international football.
Ever since the news broke, the saddened fans have appealed the superstar not to quit football.
The fans took part in a manifestation in support of the player's return to the national team under the banner #LioNoTeVayas (Lio Don't Go).
