Peek inside Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s life, houses, affairs- In pics

New Delhi: Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is on the verge of being toppled from power after more than a decade in office.

The 71-year-old looks set to be ousted by an unlikely coalition of right-wing and other parties. This coalition clinched a deal to form a government in Israel that would break a period of unprecedented political deadlock that saw four elections in two years.

Netanyahu has been prime minister of Israel since 2009. Netanyahu also holds the title of Israel's youngest-ever prime minister. Let’s take a peek at PM Netanyahu’s life:

One of the local media reported that for years now, the state has paid for PM Netanyahu's living expenses at his Caesarea home, even though he has lived in the prime minister's official residence in Jerusalem since 2009, adding that even that resident was funded by the state. The report also added that as per the data released between 2009 and 2015, the state has spent millions catering to the whims of the Netanyahu family.

The developments came after the Israeli PM revealed that he was being blackmailed by an anonymous group. PM Netanyahu had said “one man, surrounded by a not-small group of criminals,” was blackmailing him to drop out of the race with a sex tape of him and someone who is not his wife.
