New Delhi: Planning to visit Shimla or Manali in winter to witness the majestic snowfall in the beautiful hills of Himachal Pradesh? If yes, then the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has a special something for you. The Indian Railways’ subsidiary has recently started a new package named 'HIMACHAL DELIGHT EX KOLKATA' to take passengers on a majestic journey to Himachal Pradesh.
Passengers opting for the IRCTC Himachal package will get a chance to travel to Shimla and Manali. Tourists will also get a chance to visit Chandigarh city.
IRCTC is currently selling the 'HIMACHAL DELIGHT EX KOLKATA' at Rs 30,990 per person. The seven days and six nights package includes travel by air and road, which makes it worth every penny.
Passengers booking the IRCTC Himachal Package will begin their journey from Kolkata. Tourists will be taken from Kolkata Airport to New Delhi via flight. From Delhi, passengers will reach Chandigarh.
As part of the package, passengers will visit Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, following which they will rest in the hotel there.
On the second day of the tour, tourists will leave for Manali in the morning. After reaching Manali, travellers will go directly to the hotel. After a night's rest at the hotel, the next morning, travellers will visit places like Solang Valley and Rohtang Pass.
On the next day, tourists will visit local places in Manali such as Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Vashishtha Snan, Van Vihar, Tibetan Monastery and Club House.
On the next day, tourists will leave Manali to go to Shimla. On their way to Shimla, travellers will also see places such as Kullu Valley. Travellers will reach Shimla in the evening, following which they will rest in their hotels. The next morning, travellers will be taken to Kufri.
In Shimla, passengers will also visit places such as Shimla Masjid, Vice Regal Lodge, Christ Church Gaiety Theatre, The Grindlays Bank, The Scandal Point and The North the Mall Shopping Plaza.
