Meerut: Samajwadi Party leader's nephew was on Wednesday shot dead allegedly by five youths at Incholi village in this district, police said.
According to the police, 25-year-old Guddan was in the village when the assailants fired rounds of shots at him.
Guddan, the nephew SP General Secretary in Meerut district Meghraj Singh, died on the spot, police said.
Police has sent the body for post-mortem.
The victim's relatives have named one Anand along with 4 other youths in the FIR, they said.
Police is suspecting an old-enmity behind the act.
The search for the accused in underway, they added.
