London: In an awkward moment for Theresa May, who will take British Prime Minister David Cameron's place on Wednesday, she was confused with a porn actress and nude model in the UK.
The Oxford graduate, a Bank of England veteran, and the UK's home secretary since 2010, Theresa May, was confused for Teresa May, a British underwear model.
In fact, using the hashtag #TeresaMay on Twitter, Britons mistakenly congratulated the porn actress for becoming prime minister.
Teresa then took to Twitter to issue clarifications.
She also changed her Twitter bio: "I am a UK Glamour model, not the Prime Minister."

Theresa May, the 59-year-old, will become Britain`s second female prime minister after Margaret Thatcher.
The daughter of a Church of England vicar, May is a cricket fan with a sober, well-mannered demeanour who lists her hobbies as cooking and walking.
She shows a flash of flamboyance with a colourful shoe collection -- particularly her leopard-skin heels -- which has become famous in the British press.
