 "Wanted terrorist neutralized in Assam, AK-81 assault rifle recovered")
Guwahati: The Army deployed in poll-bound Assam neutralized a terrorist in Talpathar village in Tinsukia district today and recovered arms from his possession.
As per the report, the slain terrorist was a member of banned United Liberation Front of Asom ULFA (I) organisation and was wanted in several cases.
Defence ministry spokesman Lt Col Suneet Newton confirmed the killing of the terrorist and said that he was identified as Mecuri.
One AK-81 assault rifle was seized from him.
