Hyderabad: In an apparent blow to All India Majlis-eIttahadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi, the families of two of the seven alleged operatives of the Islamic State (IS) have turned down his offer providing legal aid to fight court battle.
In a petition addressed to the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC), relatives of Ibrahim Yazdani and Ilyas Yazdani alleged that AIMIM was taking undue advantage and playing vote bank politics over the issue.
They also blamed other political parties for trying to take political mileage by using the `false case that was busted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA)'.
They sought Rs 1-crore compensation in the petition which was moved a few days ago, said a report by 'The Times of India'.
Yazdanis' family members Nadera and Mohammed Ishaq Yazdani have made NIA, Ministry of Home Affairs, Telangana DGP, Principal Secretary (Home) Telangana Government as parties responsible for framing their kith in false cases and for violating various sections of human rights.
