Xiaomi Redmi S3: Features, specifications and price

New Delhi: Adding to its line of popular Redmi phones, Xiaomi has launch another smartphone in the series – the Redmi 3S, pricing is temptingly at just Rs 6,999.

Launched on Wednesday (August 3) at an event in the national capital, the Redmi 3S is is a successor to the popular Redmi 2 and seen as one that will continue with the trend.

However, some features have set the Redmi 3S aside from the Redmi 2 such as the 5-inch screen and operating system in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

 

So, here are the features of Xiaomi Redmi S3:

DISPLAY: The Xiaomi Redmi 3S comes with a 5-inch HD display of 720x1280 pixel resolution that gives 294ppi.

PROCESSOR: It is powered by a 1.1GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor

OPERATING SYSTEM: Xiaomi uses the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for its Redmi S3.

MEMORY: It comes in two variants – 16GB (priced Rs 6,999) and 32GB (priced Rs 8,999). The memory is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.

 

RAM: Again, Redmi 3S comes in two variants – 2GB RAM (priced Rs 6,999) and 3GB RAM (priced Rs 8,999)

CAMERA: The Redmi 3S flaunts a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfie.

BATTERY: The device is powered by a huge 4,100 mAh battery.

COLOURS: It comes in three colours of Dark grey, Silver and Gold.

PRICE: The 2GB RAM 16GB memory has been priced at Rs 6,999 while the 3GB RAM 32GB memory has been priced at Rs 8,999.
