Apple New Store Opening In New Delhi's Saket, India Live Update: Tech giant Apple opened its second retail store in India in New Delhi on Thursday. CEO Tim Cook welcomed hundreds of Apple enthusiasts by inaugurating Apple Store at Delhi's Select City Walk Mall in Saket.
On Tuesday the Apple CEO unveiled the company's first retail store in Mumbai at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). Long queues were seen before the store as people were excited to see Apple's first retail store in India. Hundreds of people thronged to the retail store, clicking selfies with Tim Cook. The attraction was a 1984 Macintosh computer that a customer brought along with him, leaving Cook pleasantly surprised.
Apple is giving retail push in India after the company has seen high growth for the last few years. The company's revenue in India grew by nearly 50%, from $4.1 billion a year earlier.
