KANPUR: A schoolgirl was stabbed allegedly by a man after she turned down his proposal.

The incident happened on Friday.

The class X student is a resident of Amrahat area in Kanpur Dehat.

The girl, who was seriously injured, is recovering at a hospital.

The victim's parents registered an FIR on Saturday.
