Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's trademark bulldozer today demolished the house of a gang-rape accused, said to be the Samajwadi Party leader. CM Yogi Adityanath has promised the victim's mother of strict action in the case and now a bulldozer demolished the main accused Moeed Khan's house. Speaking in the Uttar Pradesh assembly, CM Yogi had said that the police will take strict action against the Samajwadi Party leader.

The incident came to light after the 12-year-old victim became pregnant. The girl named the accused and even claimed that the culprits made a video of her and threatened her family with consequences if a complaint was filed against them.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday met with the family of the victim, who was raped in Ayodhya by two men, one of whom the CM stated was a member of the Samajwadi Party and promised strict action.

"The bakery has been sealed after it was found illegal and action to demolish the bakery is being initiated," SDM Sohawal, Ashok Kumar told ANI.

The chief minister shared about the meeting on his social media platform ‘X’, he said, "I met the family members of the victim from Ayodhya, along with Dr Amit Singh Chauhan, the MLA from Bikapur constituency in Ayodhya district," the chief minister said on X.

Sharing a picture from the meeting with the family members' faces blurred, he wrote in Hindi, "The culprits will not be spared at any cost, (and) strict action will be taken against them. We are committed to getting justice for the girl."

Police had arrested the bakery owner Moid Khan and his employee Raju Khan on Friday from the Purakalandar area in connection with the case.

During his address in the assembly on Thursday, Adityanath asserted that Moid Khan was affiliated with the Samajwadi Party (SP).

"Moid Khan is from the Samajwadi Party and a member of the Ayodhya MP's team. He has been found involved in a case of rape of a 12-year-old. The Samajwadi Party has not taken action against him," Yogi asserted.

Faizabad (Ayodhya) MP Awadhesh Prasad distanced himself from the accused. "As far as this incident is concerned, it is very painful and shameful. All the people involved in this incident should be investigated, the truth should be found out and whoever is guilty action should be taken with full force against them....Innocents should not be framed and DNA test should be conducted. She (victim) should be helped financially as well... I have never allowed anyone to come near me who has even the slightest connection with the crime. I have never taken any kind of help from them. As far as the photo (with the accused) is concerned. Lakhs of people click pictures with us, take selfies," said Prasad.

Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav said on Saturday that DNA tests should be done on the rape accused to deliver justice to the victim. In a post on X, Akhilesh said, "In the case of misdeeds, the way for justice should be found by getting DNA tests done on those who are accused, and not by merely making allegations and doing politics. Whoever is guilty should be given full punishment according to the law, but if the allegations are proven false after the DNA test, then the government officials involved should also not be spared. This is the demand for justice."
