Kapil Sharma moves Bombay High Court against BMC notice on alleged illegal construction

New Delhi: Ace comedian Kapil Sharma on Monday reportedly moved Bombay High Court against a BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) notice. According to ANI, the notice aimed at demolishing the alleged illegal portion of his office in Versova (Mumbai).

Earlier, it was being said that BMC found out the 35-year-old star had violated several rules in his office at Versova.

In September this year, Kapil stirred a hornet's nest by tweeting to PM Narendra Modi that despite paying taxes in crores of rupees, he was forced to cough out a bribe of Rs 5 lakh for his office works.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis immediately offered to help in the matter even as it assumed political overtones.

The BMC requested Kapil to name the officials who demanded illegal gratification and also accused him of indulging in unauthorized constructions.
