Something similar took place when Dwayne Bravo, while batting from Melbourne Renegades, lost the grip of his bat while attempting to pull one away with power.
The result, ball went on to hit the stumps and the West Indian batsman's bat flew away.

An amused Bravo, had an embarrassing smile on his face as he had to head back to pavilion after being dismissed for for 24.
