The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are hosting the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, April 23. RCB manage to win narrowly, maintaining their perfect record in afternoon games. The innings began with Siraj dismissing Jos Buttler without scoring. However, Devdutt Padikkal and Jaiswal played splendidly in the first 10 overs. Padikkal was particularly impressive, displaying excellent strokeplay and attacking Vyshak Vijaykumar and Maxwell. Although Jaiswal also made a positive start, he slowed down considerably as he approached fifty. Unfortunately for RR, this slowing down resulted in the loss of both set batsmen and no boundaries being scored between overs 11-15. Despite Samson and Hetmyer having a poor day, Dhruv Jurel's counter-attacking 34 kept the visitors in the game towards the end. Nevertheless, RR were unable to overcome the challenge as the dot balls in the middle overs proved to be too costly.
