Zee Media BureauNew Delhi: Microsoft on Wednesday launched a new low budget smartphone, the Lumia 540 Dual with a 5-inch 720p HD display.
The Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual Sim has been temptingly priced at $150 and will start hitting the markets in May, the same month that it will arrive in India too.
The Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual runs on Windows 8.1 OS (with Lumia Denim update) and is powered by the Snapdragon 200 series quad-core SoC (System on Chip) backed by 1GB RAM.
The screen stands at 5-inch with a 720p HD (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display.
It comes with an inbuilt memory of 8GB and is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It is further equiped with an 8MP back camera and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfie lovers.
The Lumia 540 Dual comes with a 2200 mAh battery which the company claims can run the phone for close to 24 days under standby mode.
