New Delhi: The fourth installment of erotic thriller 'Hate Story' which hit the screens on Friday, has failed to put the Box Office on fire despite a sizeable promotional drive. The film has opened with Rs 3.76 crore.

'Hate Story 4' had an ordinary start in the morning shows, however, it picked up in the evening taking its opening day total to Rs 3.76 crore.

Senior trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the figures of the film. He wrote, "#HateStory4 picked up towards evening shows, after an ordinary start... Fri ₹ 3.76 cr. India biz... #HateStoryIV"

Check out his tweet below:

Directed by Vishal Pandya, 'Hate Story 4' is a love triangle between a model and two businessmen brothers. It features Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, Vivan Bhatena and Ihana Dhillon in pivotal roles. The film also stars veteran actor Gulshan Grover making his comeback on the silver screen after a long gap.

Meanwhile, the film has also failed to beat the opening day collections of 'Hate Story 3' starring Karan Singh Grover, Zarine Khan and Daisy Shah though it has managed to crush the new releases like 'Dil Juunglee' and '3 Storeys' which also released yesterday.

Check out the opening day figures of Hate Story franchise below:

Hate Story 3 (2015) - Rs 9.72 cr
Hate Story 2 (2014) - Rs 5.46 cr
Hate Story 4 (2018) - Rs 3.76 cr
Hate Story (2012) - Rs 2.10 cr

Like its previous franchise, this time too, two old numbers were recreated for this film — Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Naam Hai Tera and both of them have gone on to become chartbuster hits.
